Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Zabbix Specialist with deep technical expertise in Zabbix. This is not a basic support role — we need someone who understands how Zabbix works under the hood and can confidently design, configure, and expand monitoring environments for new and existing customers.
You will be responsible for supporting customers, building and configuring new customer environments within existing Zabbix instances, and ensuring optimal monitoring performance and architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical support for customers using Zabbix
- Design, deploy, and configure new customer sites within existing Zabbix environments
- Configure and manage Zabbix proxies for distributed monitoring
- Create and maintain monitoring maps, dashboards, triggers, and templates
- Optimize Zabbix performance, scalability, and reliability
- Troubleshoot complex monitoring, performance, and data collection issues
- Implement best practices for monitoring architecture and security
- Document configurations, processes, and customer environments
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Zabbix architecture and deployment
- Deep understanding of:
- Zabbix server and proxy setup
- Distributed monitoring environments
- Maps, triggers, templates, and host groups
- Database backends (MySQL/PostgreSQL)
- Experience onboarding new customers into shared or multi-tenant Zabbix environments
- Ability to troubleshoot performance issues and optimize configurations
- Strong Linux administration skills
- Experience with networking fundamentals (SNMP, TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs)
- Scripting experience (Bash, Python, or similar) is a plus
Bonus skills:
- Experience integrating Zabbix with other ITSM or alerting tools
- Experience with automation and infrastructure-as-code
- Knowledge of high-availability Zabbix setups
- Zabbix certification (preferred but not required)
