(Attorney, Paralegal, or Lawyer) – Knowledge of US Laws & Contracts

Key Responsibilities:
Contract Review & Drafting: Review, draft, and negotiate contracts in accordance with US laws, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and legal compliance.
- Legal Research: Conduct thorough research on various aspects of US laws, including business law, commercial law, intellectual property, corporate law, and other relevant areas.
- Legal Compliance: Advise clients or internal teams on compliance with US federal and state regulations, including industry-specific standards.
- Document Management: Organize, file, and maintain legal documents and records, ensuring timely access and confidentiality.
- Client Interaction: Collaborate with US-based clients and legal teams to provide guidance on legal matters related to contracts, business operations, and regulatory compliance.
- Litigation Support: Assist in litigation preparation by compiling necessary legal documents, evidence, and reports in accordance with US law.
- Advisory Services: Provide legal opinions and advice on various matters impacting US law or international operations involving US jurisdictions.
Qualifications:
- Educational Requirements:
- Attorney/Lawyer: Law degree (Juris Doctor or equivalent) from a recognized institution. Admission to practice law in the Philippines is required.
- Paralegal: Paralegal certificate or equivalent qualification, with a strong understanding of US legal practices.
- Experience:
- For Attorneys: Minimum of 2+ years of experience practicing law, with substantial exposure to US laws and contract law.
- For Paralegals: At least 3 years of experience assisting with legal matters, especially in relation to US law or international contracts.
- Prior experience working on US contracts, business law, or compliance is preferred.
- Skills & Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of US laws, including but not limited to contract law, corporate law, employment law, and intellectual property.
- Ability to analyze and interpret legal documents, contracts, and regulations.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal matters clearly and concisely to clients and team members.
- Proficiency in using legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Language Proficiency: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with US-based legal databases (LexisNexis, Westlaw, etc.).
- Experience working with US clients or US-based legal firms.
- Knowledge of specific industries (e.g., technology, healthcare, or finance) is a plus.
- Familiarity with legal document management systems.
