Skill Requirements
- Proven experience (5 years) as a Website Developer, preferably with a focus on WordPress.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP, with a strong understanding of responsive web design principles.
- Understanding of website accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1), ADA compliance, and experience in remediating accessibility issues.
- Strong knowledge of website security best practices, including implementing SSL certificates, securing databases, and protecting against common vulnerabilities.
- Proficient in Core Web Vitals optimization.
- Experience optimizing website performance and conducting performance audits using tools like GTmetrix, PageSpeed Insights, or similar.
- Familiarity with SEO principles and techniques, ensuring websites are search engine friendly.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to debug and resolve complex technical issues.
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality, error-free websites.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proactive and self-motivated mindset, with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Responsibilities

- Design and develop visually stunning, unique, and user-friendly WordPress websites that align with clients’ brand guidelines, ensuring seamless integration of design elements, functionality, and content.
- Implement website accessibility standards and guidelines, ensuring compliance with WCAG 2.1 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) and other relevant accessibility standards.
- Conduct website audits to identify and resolve accessibility, security, and performance issues, utilizing industry best practices and tools.
- Optimize website performance by improving page load speed, minimizing server requests, and implementing caching techniques.
- Collaborate with the design and content teams to ensure cohesive integration of visual elements, multimedia content, and interactive features.
- Implement robust security measures to protect clients’ websites from potential vulnerabilities, malware, and hacking attempts.
- Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance to ensure websites are fully functional, responsive, and cross-browser compatible.
- Provide ongoing website maintenance and support, including updates, bug fixes, and troubleshooting.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest web development trends, technologies, and best practices, and proactively share knowledge and insights with the team.
